Business Analyst – Aviation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Aviation Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience as Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience in the aviation/airline industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirement gathering, and system development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experienced in creating BRD, URD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, and other requirement documentation.
  • Able to create and analyze Business Process Flow, BPMN, UML, and system diagrams.
  • Understanding of aviation business processes, such as flight operations, passenger services, ticketing, check-in, boarding, baggage, aircraft maintenance, or airport operations.
  • Understanding of API integration, REST API, JSON/XML, database, and system integration.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL is preferred.
  • Familiar with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Draw.io, Visio, or similar tools.
  • Able to communicate effectively with business users, product owners, developers, QA, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Able to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
  • Experience in UAT, SIT, requirement validation, and defect analysis is a plus.
  • Willing to work closely with cross-functional teams and understand complex enterprise systems.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Airline Passenger Service System (PSS), Departure Control System (DCS), Reservation System, GDS, MRO, ERP, or Airport Management System.
  • Knowledge of aviation standards and regulations is an advantage.
  • Experience working with microservices, cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, or distributed systems is a plus.
